2017 Pedras Rosé of Pinot Noir
Potter Valley - Mendocino County
WINEMAKER NOTES: This delicately lustrous pink is as fresh and clean as the color suggests. Made in the typical Provencal style, this charming rosé of Pinot Noir has luscious aromas of ripe summer fruit and juicy raspberry with a hint of sweet floral notes. Supple and packed with ripe fruit flavors, this bright elegant wine has a touch of creaminess at its core, and sings all notes of summertime.
VINIFICATION: Made from 100% pinot noir grapes that were specifically harvested to make rosé. The grapes were picked at low brix and therefore have produced a refreshing wine with low alcohol. Eighty percent of the wine was vinified in small stainless steel barrels. The remaining twenty percent was kept in neutral French oak barrels where the lees were occasionally stirred to give body and creaminess to the wine.
